At SHIFTED Festival, we are committed to creating a safer space – a respectful environment where everyone feels welcome. Regardless of gender, background, skin color, sexual orientation, identity, age, or physical and mental abilities.
For us, awareness is not about control, but about looking out for one another. It’s about conscious interaction, mutual respect, and shared responsibility in creating a space where personal boundaries are recognized and respected.
We don’t see awareness as a fixed concept, but as an ongoing, collective process. Everyone involved – from organizers to guests to service providers – shares responsibility and contributes to shaping this environment.
- Mindfulness and respect in how we treat each other
- Solidarity and mutual support
- Equal opportunities and visibility of diverse realities
- A festival experience free from fear, exclusion, or discrimination
Violations of our values and rules will have consequences and may lead to removal from the festival.
A trained awareness team is present on-site throughout the entire festival, 24/7. We listen, take you seriously, and support you in cases of boundary violations, discomfort, or conflict. You are always in control of what you want to share and what kind of support you need.
You can recognize our awareness team by their purple vests. You can also find us at any time in the Awareness Hut located directly at the festival entrance.
During the festival, we are also reachable by phone at all times.
You can contact us before and after the festival via email if you have any questions or concerns regarding awareness:

If you’d like to become part of our awareness team and actively contribute, openness, empathy, self-reflection, and team spirit are key qualities.
We support you through shared training sessions and collaborative responsibilities to help you grow your awareness skills. At the same time, we value learning from you.
You are never alone in this role – you are part of a community that looks out for one another.
